Project Overview
What is Al Mizan?
Al Mizan is an Islamic holistic wellness mobile app designed to help users take care of their physical and spiritual health through the lens of Quran, Sunnah, and natural medicine principles. The app covers a wide range of wellness areas including body understanding, natural detox programs, condition-based health guidance, therapeutic recipe libraries, daily wellness journaling, spiritual audio content, prophetic lifestyle routines, and weekly Seerah stories. It operates on a freemium subscription model, offering core features for free and premium modules at $9.99 per month or $8.33 per month billed annually.
Goal
The design goal was to create a calm, trustworthy, and spiritually grounded mobile UI that makes holistic wellness feel accessible and practical for everyday Muslim users. Every screen needed to balance clinical clarity with spiritual warmth, making sure that health guidance never felt cold or detached from Islamic values.
Core Brand Elements
Al Mizan uses a deep forest green primary palette paired with warm off-white backgrounds and soft earth tones across module cards. The typography is clean and readable, giving a sense of stillness and intention. Arabic Quranic text and duas are displayed with care and proper sizing, treated as sacred content rather than decorative elements. The overall visual language feels like a digital version of a trusted Islamic health companion, not a clinical app.

Design Challenges
Building an app that sits at the intersection of Islamic spirituality and health science required deep design intention. The key challenges included the following:
Spiritual content like duas, ayahs, and hadith references needed to be presented with reverence while still fitting naturally into a health and wellness UI flow.
The app covers an unusually wide range of features across health, nutrition, spirituality, and education, so the information architecture had to stay simple enough for daily use without feeling shallow.
The premium paywall needed to feel like a natural value proposition rather than a barrier, especially for an audience that values sincerity over sales tactics.
We addressed these by creating a consistent module card system with color-coded health categories, using a calm dark green CTA system for primary actions, and treating all Islamic content with dedicated typographic styling that visually separates it from health copy while keeping the overall experience cohesive.
Process Behind This Project
01.
Mapping the Journey
We started by mapping the complete wellness journey a user would take inside the app, from daily check-ins and symptom tracking to spiritual reading and recipe discovery, making sure every module connected naturally to the next.
02.
Building the Module System
We designed a unified card and module system that works across health, nutrition, spirituality, and education content without making the app feel fragmented or overwhelming.
03.
Real-Time Feedback & Personalization
We designed the symptom analysis flow and personalized plan screens to deliver results instantly and clearly, so users always feel guided rather than confused about what to do next.
04.
Polishing the Experience
After reviewing all screens together, we refined the color system, Islamic content presentation, and premium paywall flow to make sure every part of the app felt intentional, calm, and trustworthy.
